American Show Racers

The American Show Racer is called the bird with dignity.  This has to do with their defined appearance and character.  They are absolutley gorgeous birds and have a wonderful disposition.  There are many pigeon fanciers who raise and show this breed.  The competition is keen and fierce.  Fellow fanciers will tell you there is no such thing as the perfect bird.  As perfect as the breed is becoming there is always something that can be improved.  Breeding to meet the standard or taking on a color project is a task that takes time, experience, but at the same time is rewarding and fun.
